Despite all the setbacks over the last two years, Spirit of Cardiff set off from Cardiff Bay on time cheered on by hundreds of supporters, many of them aboard a flotilla of RIBs and other small boats.

The Cardiff to Gibraltar section is the final shake down before the round the world voyage officially starts on Sunday 7 April, giving the team a final opportunity to double check that everything is in full working order and ready for anything.
